Description:

This is a technical/professional position in which the incumbent’s core responsibilities are application development, environment setup, configuration, product installation, integration, and deployment of AIA Web properties as well as design, development, and implementation of web templates and interactive applications to include multimedia and dynamic content for large scale client.


Duties:

• Provide analysis, design, and development of Web-based and middle tier object-oriented Java applications.
• Web template development, web content integration, development and modification of web, and multimedia.
• Develop and design Web-based applications using technologies such as HTML, DHTML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript and JSP.

• Perform tasks associated with Web-enabled database application development and maintenance including requirements analysis, design, implementation, test, and maintenance.

• Develop and conduct tests to demonstrate system performance and conformance with specifications.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and develop dynamic pages within an object-oriented framework.

• Analyze program specifications to assure accuracy, completeness, and conformance to standards.

Experience:

Ability to multi-task across and manage multiple projects and technologies simultaneously. Must demonstrate strong collaboration and teamwork principles, and possess a full comprehension of technology and/or design principles. Extensive knowledge of development and design of Web applications and content management systems. Extensive experience with the use of HTML, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSP. Demonstrated ability to work independently, set priorities, and manage multiple projects successfully while maintaining strong attention to detail. Position requires excellent interpersonal and customer-service skills. Demonstrated skill with SQL server and relational database development, server management, and Internet and WWW protocols. Knowledge in development and maintenance of Content Management Systems (CMS.)

Ability to construct XHTML templates based on design compositions/wire frames using advanced CSS table free layout. Verify accessibility and cross-browser compatibility of templates. Integrate templates with site content and graphics in collaboration with web support personnel.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Communications, Technology, or related field and five or more years of experience in Web-site development, production, and maintenance. Equivalent combination of training and experience will be considered.
